I’m excited to announce that we received the 2016 Wedding Wire Couples’ Choice Award!  Thank you so much to all of our amazing couples who have helped us achieve this recognition.  It’s because of you all that have taken your time to say we did a great job on your special day.

Impromptu Styled Shoot

On Sunday I shared a booth with the best specialty rental company (Party Pleasers) at the Vintage Glamour Bridal Show (produced by The Inspire Brand) held at the Montecito Event Center.  Often times, I love the look I’ve created with our vendors and this was no exception.  We asked the talented ladies of Unique Floral Designs to help us finish off the look for our Garden tablescapes.  As always, they exceeded our expectations.

Unfortunately, at the show, we weren’t able to hang the floral piece above the old world zinc table like we wanted to and we were so disappointed to not be able to showcase such a beautiful piece.  That’s when we had the brilliant idea to have an impromptu photo shoot!

There was too much gorgeousness NOT call on Lucas Rossi Photography to help us capture it all.  Andrew from Party Pleasers and I felt the setting needed to help us great the garden feel that we were going for in our booth.  This private estate couldn’t have been more perfect.  What do you think?

There were too many pictures to choose from but here are a few of our favorites.

Pantone Color of the Year 2016 – Rose Quartz & Serenity

PC: Pantone.com

PC: Pantone.com

Some will look at these two colors and think: “new baby girl” or “new baby boy”! Trust me, at first, I did not like it at all.  I stopped to really think about what those colors really mean – why would Pantone pick these two colors?!  Then it came to me.  When you really look at the colors together and the shades of the colors, they symbolize so much. Here’s some cheesy for you and something to think about regarding the meaning of the colors…

It’s the birth of something new.

In our world today with the shootings (I read somewhere that the San Bernandino one was the 355th shooting this year!), sadness, and devastation, we have to remember that there’s HOPE.  These colors together – the blending of these colors – is suppose to symbolize new beginnings, the need to blend our communities for something great.  It’s exactly what Pantone says – “reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace”.

Together, we can make great things happen.
